Becoming a Medieval knight was no small feat. It took extreme dedication and training. The first step was to train as a Medieval Page for seven years. Once medieval Page training was completed, the next step was to train for another seven years as a Squire. Only once Squire training was complete would a man become a Knight.
Not many people give thought to the clothes under a knight’s suit of armor, but choosing the right garments was important. Knights wore linen undershirts and linen underpants. The reason this was important is because the linen underclothing protected their skin from chafing caused by their armor.
